Spence and Garcia met in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday for Premier Boxing Champions and Fox Sports’ announcement of eight title fights. Spence towered over Garcia when the two of them stood for a face off. The size difference was too hard to ignore. Garcia looked not only a lot shorter than Spence, but also a lot smaller in terms of size.

Granted, Spence was out of shape and not as conditioned as he’ll be when he faces Garcia on March 16 on FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View. In looking at the two fighters standing for the face off, it’s hard to see any other outcome other than Spence knocking Garcia out within the first six rounds. Garcia will need to run or he’ll need a steel chin for him to survive the full 12 round to see the final bell.

You’ve got to give Mikey a lot of credit for showing courage in taking this fight. Not a lot of other lightweights would dare to move up two weight classes to take on Spence. Although Vasyl Lomachenko is considered #1 pound-for-pound fighter in boxing, he would likely never consider moving up in weight to face a wrecking ball like Spence without a catchweight handicap. What Mikey is about to do is incredible in the courage that he’s showing, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to win the fight.

The fight card starts at 9pm ET/6pm PT. The fans are going to be in for a real treat with this fight. It’s easily the best match in the first quarter of 2019. There are other fights of course, but those will mostly likely be mismatches involving Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte and Saul Canelo Alvarez and David Lemieux.
